About Us

Big Heads Gift Shop was founded by father and son duo Nicholas & Matthew Thomas along with their good friend Cory Floyd.

Our Story

Nick and Cory were work buddies who hated the job they were in and dreamed of starting their own brick and mortar head shop as an escape from the mundane situation that they were stuck in. Soon they would quit that gig, but the desire to open up a head shop was still there.

So Nick, Matt, and Cory would meet together and discuss their vision for what they thought the store could and should be. They combined their skills and experiences together and came up with what is now Big Heads Gift Shop!

 The Big Head

So where did the head come from, is that a person? The big head started with a selfie of Nick. Hallie, his wife, took it and in 30 minutes laid the ground work for what would be the Big Heads Gift Shop logo.

They sent that logo to tattoo artist Benny Dewitt (Good Hart Tattoos) who played with it until he came back with the iconic logo.

Big Head Mural

Artist Cory Niff (@niffdigity) came on to paint the Big Heads mural in his signature style, adding his flair and signature heads in addition to his take on the big heads logo. His style brought the logo to a new trippy level that makes the head feel like it is alive and breathing.

The Big Heads Gift Shop mural is located right in the foyer and is the first thing that you see when coming into the store, making it feel like you are taking a portal off to a trippy wonderland!
